Summer with Essential oils…….

Over the last few weeks I have seen so many FB posts about this year being the year of ticks and mosquitos and ants. I wanted to share natural solutions with you. If you have read anything about what is in the OTC repellents you know they are not in any way good for your family. I also wanted to be sure that you all understand there is a video floating around about removing a tick being removed with peppermint oil. PLEASE DO NOT do this! It is not a good way to remove and can cause long term issues.

There are so many oils to help repel insects.

We diffuse lemon grass on our deck as well as put a few drops in our fountain in our back yard. Keeps mosquitoes at bay. Have an Ant problem they hate peppermint. Make a spray bottle with distilled water and peppermint oil and spray anywhere you see them.

Terrashield is an amazing product that is all natural safe for all ages. You can buy the oil and dilute or buy the spray and it is ready to use. I wear the spray on all my walks. It smells great and actually surprises me that the bugs don’t love it. I watched a video of a friend spraying it on her cows legs and the flies fell off.

All of the oils I spoke of above will help keep your gardens clear of bugs and insects. By putting 10 to 20 drops in a 2 or 4 oz spray bottle with water and spray directly on your plants to repel them in a safe and healthy manner.
