People are super interesting to me.
My favorite thing to do is to people watch and to eaves drop. I am fully aware those are things most people don’t spout about loving. Lately however I kind of want to climb in a box and hibernate until all the hate and negativity go away. I am shocked at how many people are out there spending so much time looking for the bad and not making any attempt to just be happy!?! Breaks my heart. But then I think NOT MY CIRCUS, NOT MY MONKEYS.
You get to chose how you live your life.
Chose how you feel everyday. Do you truly want to just be miserable and worry about things you have no control of. I am in no way a political person nor am I a religious person . I believe what I believe and honestly don’t think its anyone business. Here’s what I know I don’t fall into any category. I won’t argue my views because I truly believe my opinions will not change anyone else’s. OK that’s not really what my blog is about today. I wanted to give you some thoughts to see if maybe you can begin to live in the moment and love who you are and what you have.
The last couple of weeks I have spoken to a lot of people who have had terrible things happen in the blink of an eye. We hear everyday that we need to live for today because tomorrow is not guaranteed. We hear it, we say it, but we don’t live it. 17 years ago my world was turned upside down.
I lost my best friend at the age of 35.
She had just turned 35 and I was going to in a few days. I had talked to her on the phone and she said she had a pain in her shoulder after a long car trip. The next day she was gone. Bacterial pneumonia. In a flash a little one lost her mom and a fabulous man lost his soul mate, and I lost my best friend. My life changed that day in a way I didn’t really realize until recent years. When you are young you think you have all the time in the world. When something like this happens you change.
I do try really hard to be the positive in my world. trying hard to lift others up and make them realize how amazing they are. Listening and finding the good in most everything. At our house we ask how does this affect our life? Do we have any control of the situation yes? Fix it! No? Get over it!
Here’s a list of things that me be getting in the way of your happiness.
1. Complaining, blaming, living on auto pilot, being too busy,
2. Being afraid, living in a dream, negative beliefs.
3. Lack of balance, thinking you have more time, negative self talk
4. Living in the past, censoring yourself, hanging onto the past or the way it used to be
5. Trying for perfection, anticipating the bad, being close minded.
So are you living a life you love? Do you try to find the good in people? Are you looking for happy or remaining in a funk?
Let’s get happy:
Turn up the music, put your phone away for an hour, Dance like no one is watching
Go outside and look at the sky see the moon? It makes everything better.
Stop watching the news and reading the paper for a week. (I have done it for 18 months never going back)
Go to a shelter and play with the puppies or kittens
know your limits take a 3 hour nap
Un follow all the negative people on FB
Learn something new
Take a long hot bath
Make a list of all your blessings
Make a list of everything that is bothering you and BURN IT!
GET OVER IT!
I seriously could go on for hours. But you need to do your own thing. Stop hating and start loving. Tomorrow is not guaranteed. Live this know this. I am thankful everyday that, that little girl who lost her mom is now my very best friend. I adore her and my life is complete because she is in it. Blessed beyond belief. Find your happy.
Live a life you Love ❤️
